Wedding / Dinner Cruise

First of all, thankyou to everyone who posts advice to this board. It has been quite helpful (and fun) preparing for my trip to Hawaii this July!

I need some advice regarding wedding activities for any of you who have been through a Big Island wedding, or any of you who live there in the area.

We are getting married (sunset) with only 4 guests at Kikaua Point on a Monday in July. My parents (late 50s, early 60s will be joining us, along w/ my fiance%26#39;s brother in law and girlfried - late 20s, 30s). I am considering a Dinner Cruise for all of us the night before the wedding, as we are getting married at sunset (cruise would not be a viable option after the wedding). I don%26#39;t want a booze cruise - just a nice dinner cruise. Does such a thing exist, where you sit at tables and dine? If not, what reccomendations are out there?

I am considering dinner at Pahuia (based on reviews here) after the wedding. No, I haven%26#39;t made reservations yet, and yes I know I need to . We are staying in Keauhou at the Sheraton (I know that is a drive, but it%26#39;s what we%26#39;ve got- yes we have a rental car). What is THE best second choice for afer wedding receptionish dinner?

Also, anyone out there gotten married in a similar fashion that can offer ideas for activities the day of the wedding? We do have a coordinator, A Fairytale Wedding, but have not really utilized them for this - am still contemplating...but I need to hurry up!!

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Wedding / Dinner Cruise

Aloha and congrats!

Well I guess the booze cruise aka Beans is out ;o)

The Hokuhele, out of Keauhou is lovely, it is a sail boat, but I think they may only do Saturday night, you would have to check.

Gosh I do not think you are going to beat Pahuia!!

I guess my second choice would be CanoeHouse, Mauna Lani

Wedding / Dinner Cruise

Thankyou for your reply Aloha!

Yes you are correct, the Hokuhele, out of Keauhou does not operate on Sunday, but it looked like it would be a winner. Darn....we%26#39;ll figure out something!

Thanks again!

Why not call them, since your party is large enough they may do a private thing?

My second choice for dinner would be the Hale Samoa at the Kona Village Resort. Red Sails have a so-called sunset dinner cruise out of Waikoloa, you might want to check with them.

Oh yes, Hale Samoa at the Kona Village would be a very nice option.

As I recall they do dinner by candle light, nice touch.

Thanks again, but the Red Sails only does a dinner cruise on Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Sat. They do offer a sunset cruise on Sunday. The restaurant at the Kona Village Resort looks good too. I just thought it would be fun to do the cruise the night before.

I hadn%26#39;t really considered the hale samoa kona at all before - I%26#39;ll add it to my evergrowing list! It looks like it has that Hawaii vibe ~

I called the Hokuhele last night and they said they are completely closed on Sundays, so I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s an option, and it might cost more than we want to pay. It looks really neat though.

Thanks again for the input!
