I will be staying here for a two-week work trip in July. I would love to hear your experiences with this hotel. I thought I read an earlier post about some construction going on related to the renovations - is this still the case?. I will need to drive back and forth to a job site next to the airport each day - what can I expect for traffic in the mornings around 7:00 or earlier? Thanks!
Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio
MrsRosie .... Since the Hilton took over management of the property, renovations is still continue until later this year. I don%26#39;t think the construction hurts the visiting guest during the day. I go by this place daily many times and hardly see any construction in the front of the hotel. Renovation are being done on the different floors of the hotel.
The best way to work west of downtown Honolulu at 7 am is to take the Ala Moana Blvd into Nimitz Hwy. Traffic is minimum and it will not take you more than 30 minutes, providing no accidents. I drive this route twice a week coming from Kahala area. Your return can change depending on the time you get off of work.

Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio
We were just in Waikiki in May, staying next door to Hilton Prince Kuhio. At that stage the rooms were open but the balconies were closed off to guests staying in the rooms. They may be fininished this by the time you go in July and have the balconies re-open.
islekane - Excellent, thank you! Extremely helpful information for me and for my fellow co-workers.
Hawaii50 - Thanks for the info on the balconies. I heard they were closed awhile back also.
