Late Evening Interisland Flights

I am currenlty in the process of completing the planning for my honeymoon in Hawaii later this year; however, I%26#39;m having problems finding late evening interisland flights. My fiance and I will be staying at Kailua-Kona on the Big Island and have planned to fly to Maui for a day starting with a helicopter tour and ending with the Old Lahaina Luau. The luau ends at 8:30 PM, and that is the latest time for a flight out of any airport on Maui (specifically the Kahului Airport (OGG)). It seems my options have come down to chartering a flight; however, I haven%26#39;t any idea what the cost would be for that. I have already booked and reserved my accomodations on the Big Island for our entire trip - now it looks as though I may have painted myself into a corner. Any previous interisland fliers know of a solution to this problem (finding a flight from Maui back to Kona later than 8:30 PM on any dates between October 23 - October 29 this year)?

Late Evening Interisland Flights

It looks like if you are dead set on seeing Maui and going to the OLL you will have to plan on either starting or ending your trip there with an overnight stay....or chartering a flight which is probably a little costly.

Are you able to cancel the luau on Maui? Kona Village has a luau on BI that gets high, high marks. If you could make that change you would have the rest of your Maui time for exploring. I have never found interisland flights later than the time you mentioned.

Sorry for my spelling mistakes on the first post - that%26#39;s what I get for posting before proofreading.

Thank you for replying and confirming that there seems to be no flights later than 8:30 PM between the islands.

To answer the question, I have not yet made reservations for the OLL on Maui; therefore, I will look into the Luau on the BI that was suggested - that should take care of this part of the scheduling issue.

Again, I really appreciate the help - I%26#39;ll be sure to give back once I return from the trip and post some reviews of our activities.

I%26#39;d save Maui for another trip. Actually the best helicopter tour is over Kauai anyway. People who have done both islands were not nearly as impressed with the Maui ride. Will you do a helicopter over the volcano? That%26#39;s worth doing, IMO.
