Cruise help please

Hi, I%26#39;m trying to plan a holiday to the USA from Australia. We would fly into Los Angeles and spend two weeks travelling around.

On our way home, instead of flying, I was wondering, if it is even possible to take a cruise from San Diego or Los Angeles ONE way to Hawaii. We would then spend say four nights in Hawaii before flying back home. Has anyone taken a cruise one way ??

Jubby11 .... I sailed one way and here is what you need to do. Go find yourself a travel agency or cruise agency in your home town and pick up brochures and see what is offered. Tell the people at the agency that you are interested on a sail from the West Coast to Hawaii. Because of the Jones Act, you might sail from LAX to Ensenada, Mexico for a hour stop over, than head out to sea for Hawaii. The cruise will take an average of 7 days with a couple of stops on the neighbor island before debarkation in Honolulu. Today the Island Princess came into town from Midway Island (probably finishing a South Pacific Tour) and will depart tonight at 10 pm for the Nawiliwili, Kauai to its final destination.
