O.K. this is my last post on the subject, but I wan%26#39;t to make sure that no one has their holiday ruined by using this company.
As you know from my previous posts, I had to instruct my Visa card company to grab back payments from HTN after they ignored and refused to refund me my payments back after I cancelled my bookings with them, using their ';hassle-free cancellation policy';
The reason I cancelled was because I had found out that they were not paying any money to the companies they were dealing with. Subsequently none of the operators will now accept vouchers for services, issued by HTN.
Now that I got my money back, I then started to book my tours with the companies direct. I was told first hand that they were refusing to accept or honour any bookings or vouchers from HTN.
So my warning to you all is
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH HAWAII TRAVEL NETWORK.
I think the Hawaii tourist board should shut down this company, as it will become a severe embarrassment to them.
Hawaii Travel Network * This company is going down the pan**
The HTB does not have a power to shut down any company but RICO, which is part of DCCA, does. All it takes is to file a complaint. They are kind of slow processing the cases but if there are several similar complaints they can revoke the license of the company.

Thanks to your orig post on these guys, I cancelled a booking I made with HTN and received a cancellation email. However, as of yesterday my credit card was still charged. I have filed a dispute. The accounting guy with HTN voicemail is full as well.
What is VERY misleading is www.navatek.us is a HTN page. They book whale watching cruises for Atlantis Adventures on the navatek boat but AA is not renewing their contract with HTN so AA should really see about taking away the domain navatek.us so people are not misled into thinking they are booking directly.
So my dispute is in, even though I cancelled the order about 30 minutes after I booked it and received a cancellatiom email, which thank god, I saved.
yes, that domain name confusion is very real and it%26#39;s not that obvious it%26#39;s an HTN page.
Trouble is, I don%26#39;t know of any way to take a domain name from a company that registered it. Having a business name doesn%26#39;t entitle you to the domain in any way, AFIK, which is why businesses need to buy up the rights to all the domains that are similar to their business name.
Hello,
I wish I had seen your message earlier. I booked over 拢1000 activities with HTN and I tried to cancel it last week by sending them email. This week I couldn%26#39;t get on their site any more.
I have contacted my credit card company and they said they will investigate. Do you know if a company go busted will the credit card company get the money back?
You should be able to get your money back from your credit card company as long as you have the paper trail to show their no-hassle cancellation policy and your attemts to cancel.
I just ran into the same situation with HTN. I got a call back from Temptation tours telling me they no longer are affiliated with HTN. That if I want to keep my reservation they need a credit card to hold it. This in it%26#39;s self was annoying since they actual accepted the reservation back in FEB and plus now their charging me $2 extra dollars to verify my credit card even though $2 bucks isn鈥檛 big it鈥檚 the principle of the matter. But that鈥檚 another story. I contacted my credit card company last night worry that someone was playing me and they assured me that I have 60 days to dispute a charge and they would go after the company. I鈥檝e tried countless times yesterday and today to contact the company (HTN) but only got a busy single and also their web-site is now down. So don鈥檛 use HTN at all. And I鈥檓 not to happy with Temptation Tours playing it off on me when it鈥檚 their touring network in Hawaii that broke. I understand they didn%26#39;t want to take the hit but I think they need to be a little more customer friendly and work to resolve the issue with you. I believe in fair and not dump and run.
Michael Bennie, who was HTN, has file for personl bankruptcy and has closed HTN, aka Top-10. Most companies have long stopped taking bookings through HTN as they owed activity companies thousands of dollars. If anyoen has booked anything via HTN I suggest you contact the activity directly.
Also, a new Internet booking company has popped up call Honu Hawaii Activities. Steer clear of them as well, as the owner was previously affiliated with HTN, as well as other internet booking companies and has a bad reputation among activity companies.
I have said this a hundred times and will continue to remind visitors that the best way to book activities is direct with the company providing the activity. Activity Desks cost the industry thousands each year and cause rates to rise. Imagine you own a business and your number one competitor was some other guy selling your product or service for a price lower than sell it for. They then take a comission off the top and pay you maybe 60 days after the product has been delivered.
THANK YOU!! I was planning to book with this company for an upcoming trip in December. As usual, Tripadvisor members are on time.

During my various trips to Hawaii, I often use Hawaiiactivities.com, not HTN since I have been told by many of my friends that they are an awful company and it looks like they finally bit the big one, since it is a lot more convenient for me to reserve all of my tickets with one company.
The first time I came to Honolulu, it took me forever to not only find all of the activity providers, but there was some lousy weather and a lot of the activities got cancelled and having to do all the rebookings on my own was a pain in the patootie.
The last time my family and I went to Honolulu, we booked like six activities with this company and they were fabulous. When one of our snorkeling tours got cancelled due to some mechanical boat issues, they called us as soon as they found and and promptly issued a refund since we were not able to reschedule.
Anyway, yes, there are some horrible activity desks out there, but we can%26#39;t let the few rotten appeles spoil the whole barrel.
Hawaii Travel Network has gone bankrupt and closed it doors. They shut their website down and their phones are out of order. HTN owes millions of dollars to activity providers. I have no idea what they owe to the tourists that booked thru their company. Just another example of why everyone planning a trip to Maui should book direct thru the actual company!!!!!
