Where to stay -- analysis paralysis!

Help!!!

Need advice on where to stay in Maui - 7/26/07 to 8/4/07.

We are golfing 3 days in Kapalua/Kanaapali, so would probably prefer West Maui, but I have no idea. We%26#39;re a 30-ish couple.

I would really love a nice hotel with a nice pool, restaurant/bar on-site or in walking distance. Beachfront/access nice to have but not essential. I would prefer something more like a resort (but high end ones are out of the budget) vs a condo (I don%26#39;t go on vacation to cook!!).

Budget would be $200-$250/night but could go up depending on what%26#39;s available.

I know it%26#39;s late, but I just realized I was booked into a place on a Gov%26#39;t rate by mistake, which I can%26#39;t use so I cancelled our reservation......EEK!!

the Kaanapali has pretty good rate. As low as $195 a night i think. It%26#39;s a decent hotel not a nice resort, with a decent pool, and a restaurant and bar on site and several within walking distance and great beachfront access. No room service but they have mini fridges.

Ok I did not proofread my first message. I meant to say the Kaanapali Beach hotel has decent rates.

Aloha!

I really like the ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas...this is a 3 star condo/hotel. The studio garden view would be your best bet. Location is GREAT, beach is very good, restaurant on-site, pretty grounds! This is a low key, relaxed property with a friendly staff.

Looking at about $200 per night for this spot. Not bad for Kaanapali.
