What is the weather like in November. How are the beaches and ocean in November?
What is Kauai like in November?
This past November was wonderful, even the north shore beaches. This November? Hard to tell this far in advance. It%26#39;s winter, and it should be somewhat rainier and cooler, especially on the north shore, with high surf up there. If you have any qualms, plan to stay south shore, or east side and travel a bit.
What is Kauai like in November?
We have stayed in November several times -- weather was great each time. However, we usually stay south during this period.
We were on Kauai last November for our honeymoon. The weather was great, but the snorkleing was a bit splotchy. We were able to get our best snorkleing in at Lawai beach in the South. Tunnels, Ke%26#39;e and almost all the North shore spots were too rough and murky for snorkleing.
We did however, have an amazing time exploring the island. We did have one awesome rain storm on our way back to our condo in Kapaa from the Beach House. Torrents of rain coming down! It was quite an experience and I was glad my husband was driving. That was at night, though and the few rain showers during the day didn%26#39;t disrupt us at all.
Aloha from Kaua%26#39;i!
Well since we are currently in a drought situation with some areas being asked to conserve water use -- obviously it has been dry, dry, dry for quite some time - including last November.
Normally, November is a pretty good month -- we can get some good rainfall since it is the start of the winter season, but there just isn%26#39;t anytime that I%26#39;d say stay away because we get lots of rain -- there is just no telling -- altho%26#39; obviously the winter months have a higher change of rainfall.
The surf is winter surf in November, which means high surf conditions and possibly dangerous ocean conditions on the North Shores of all islands. The South and West facing shores will have the small surf and better swimming conditions. This is just our normal pattern.
Hope this helps!
Malama Pono,
Janet
