Well I%26#39;ve finally found a place that seems ideal to rent next March......owner seems very polite and professional.....but before I actually send the deposit, I wanted to check with anyone who may be familiar with the area........
I had read that there was a big flood through this region last year.......have the natural plants grown back over the flooded area.....also the owner says you can walk down a trail to the Rock Quarry Beach from the rental.........was the trail effected by the flood.........Of course it all looks gorgeous on the website, but those pictures were not taken recently........Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.......

mombear the floods and broken dam were quite an issue on the island. Very sad indeed. you can actually go to www.kauaiworld.com and they have a photo gallery that show pictures. very devasting situation it was.

If you hadn%26#39;t been here at the time and seen all the mud and damage, you wouldn%26#39;t even know it had ever happened.
That is how quickly the island renews itself!

Thanks Janet.........Thats the way it is here in our rain forest, so I was hoping that the plants would grow back quickly.......I really appreciate all your posts and have learned a lot......Thanks again for the prompt and timely posts........
