I%26#39;m wondering if anyone has comments on Blue Ginger Hideaway. It%26#39;s a condo in Haiku managed by Maui Country Hideaways and I haven%26#39;t been able to find any reviews about it.
Mahalo!

We stayed here the first week in April for a couple of nights. LOVED IT!! We were a large group actually and rented all 3 of their properties. Loved all of them! These aren%26#39;t condo%26#39;s they are individual cottages. Blue Ginger is the smallest of the 3 but cozy and lovely. It is however attached to the backside of the owners residence. Once in awhile could hear laundry going in the owners residence. BUT, since the jungle is so thick, this unit is very secluded and has a great outdoor shower that opens to the jungle with an awesome view! Blue Bamboo also very nice, has outdoor shower but is in an enclosed screen porch area. The Blue Horizon is a very large house actually. Has 2 bedrooms and a loft bedroom. Full size kitchen (actually bigger than my kitchen at home), large living room, 2 bathrooms, wonderful wrap around deck with hot tub and lounge chairs. The view from this place is a knock out! Would highly recommend any of the cottages!

Looks like a wonderful place to stay. Away from the crowds and commercialized part of Maui...wish I was there right now.
My wife and I have stayed at the Blue Bamboo for our honeymoon(July 2005- 4 nights) and the Blue Horizon (October 2005- 1 night). We also got to look in the Blue Ginger, but have not stayed there.
We haven%26#39;t been back to Hawaii since October 2005, but are hoping to return next summer. We definitely plan to stay at the Blue Bamboo again. It is very peaceful, and we really love it. We have since stayed in Kaanapali and Kihei and loved both of those, but we missed the true relaxation you get at the MCH property.
Veena is very friendly, keeps her cottages clean, and adds a personal touch. The post above about the Blue Ginger being attached to their house is true. It is not mentioned on their website. Like I said earlier, I haven%26#39;t stayed at the Ginger before, so I can%26#39;t comment about it.
I%26#39;d recommend paying a little more each night for the Blue Bamboo. I think you%26#39;ll really like it.
Thank you for your posts. My wife and I are going to Maui for the first time (five days) and my search for places to stay has been narrowed down to the Blue Bamboo or The Mahina Surf Condos over on the west side.
We really are leaning toward staying away from the west side with the exeption of day trip over there.
Did the Bamboo offer an ocean view? It%26#39;s hard to tell from the pics on the web site.
Bamboo only had a glimps, Ginger had a better view and the Horizon had the knock out view because it%26#39;s higher up the cliff with little obstruction to the view. If you like peace and quite, beautiful surroundings, away from the crowds, this is the place.
I echo everything that gotropcial says above: The bamboo is completely private and mostly surrounded by.... well, bamboo :) The owners did cut out somewhat of a swath through the forest so you can see the ocean from your back patio.
GoTropical: I read your report from a few months ago. It looks like you had a really great trip. It%26#39;s just over 13 months before we%26#39;ll get to go back- so Maui is already on my mind. But reading your report brought back a lot of memories :)
Thank you again for your responses. It%26#39;s looking like this is the place we are going to choose. Now we have to decide if we want to buck up for the house or stay in the Blue Bamboo.
