Hertz Gold Club

We will be taking a one-day trip to Oahu while staying in Maui. We are Hertz Gold Club members-anyone know if the HNL location has the member boards for Gold Club Members? (Enables members to go directly to their car without standing in lines!) If so, we will spend the extra dollars and rent through Hertz to avoid the rental counter lines. Thanks so much!

I%26#39;am almost positive that I%26#39;ve read someone on the board saying that they used this at HNL, but I%26#39;am not totally sure. I%26#39;am bumping you up so that someone that does know can hopefully answer you.

I rented there the other day and I%26#39;m embarrassed to say I don%26#39;t remember if they had the boards but I think the shuttle driver had my space number or something b/c I didn%26#39;t have to go inside ... or if I did it was maybe for a minute. I didn%26#39;t have to wait in the line coming or going, and it was definitely the Gold club that did it. I was in and out of the Hertz lot in less than 5 minutes.

Budget also has the RapidRez which allows you to go straight to their Fastbreak desk and avoid the line. They are cheaper than Hertz and their desk is also in the airport terminal instead of riding the shuttle to pick up your car.

I am a gold member and rented from Hertz when we were there in spring 2004, so this info may be a little old. After we got our luggage, we caught the Hertz shuttle to their parking lot. The attendant on the bus figured out who everyone was. Non-gold club renters were dropped off at a counter to stand in line and take care of paperwork, (not a long line by any means, maybe 5 minutes or so) the 2 gold club members were dropped off at their cars, and handed keys and paperwork ( which was already done) She even helped us get our luggage off the bus and load it into car. Anytime I%26#39;ve seen the board system used, it seems to be in a parking garage type arrangement; in both Maui and HNL the counters are outside with cover and the cars are on a lot. Love the Hertz gold system; would use it every time.
