Restauants on the water.

Are there any romantinc recommendations for restaurants on the beach in where the water actually is actually rolling over your feet as you eat.

Restauants on the water.

waikiki has several restaurants next to the sand but it would not be possible to actually be in the water with the tides etc. Fabulous places nest to the sand are Michels at the Colony Surf, Banyan Court at Moana, Dukes, Surf Room at the Royal Hawaiian, Shorebird at Outrigger Reef

';John Dominis Restaurant'; at Point Panic (body surfing area) in Kaka`ako Park. Very beautiful view of Diamond Head, surfers, all of Waikiki and Kewalo Boat Harbor. There is some redevelopment in the area but once inside the restaurant it is beautiful. It is located 1/2 mile+- ocean side of the corner of Ala Moana Blvd and Ward Ave. ($$$)

A great restaurant (as close to the water as you can get) is the Hau Tree Lanai.

It is an open air restaurant on the beach w/ a perfect view of the sunset.

It is at the Kaimana Beach Hotel

I very highly recommend Orchids at the Halekulani. It is perhaps the most beautiful, romantic dinner experience in Hawaii. It%26#39;s a four-star, open-air restaurant right on Waikiki beach. In addition to the great view of Diamond Head, it%26#39;s a great place to watch the sun set. You can feel the ocean breezes and hear the water just a few feet from the restaurant. There%26#39;s also Hawaiian music and hula on the lawn adjoining the restaurant. Besides all of that, the food is superb (especially the fresh fish) and the service is unmatched. It%26#39;s an absolute ';can%26#39;t miss'; for any Hawaii vacation.

I have never seen this in Waikiki - tables actually down on the sand by the water... (but I can tell you many places in Puerto Vallarta Mexico where you%26#39;ll find it!).

As for romantic dinners on the beach, I%26#39;m not sure that I%26#39;ve seen any where the water rolls over your feet in Hawaii. I agree with Orchids...however, I feel that La Mer upstairs even has it beat as a great romantic setting looking out over the ocean; however, it is more expensive.
