Snorkeling in Kauai

Where are the best places to snorkel? Also, are there many clean beaches that are not ';Kaanapali crowded';?

I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a beach on the island that is ';Ka`anapali crowded.'; The closest are probably Poipu beach or Ke`e on a weekend. There are plenty of absolutely secluded beaches if you%26#39;re willing to walk a bit to get to them.

I can%26#39;t think of a single location on Kauai that is anywhere near as built-up and developed as Ka%26#39;anapali. As mentioned, Poipu is probably the closest - and that%26#39;s not really anything like Ka%26#39;anapali.

Virtually all the beaches are clean. I do think that Maui has more safe swimming beaches that Kauai however. Many of the beaches on Kauai are often unsafe so observe the water and check for the local water conditions - which vary day to day and beach to beach.
