limo or taxi to honolulu from airport

I am arriving in Honolulu on 19 July and I need to get to my hotel near Diamond Head. Is there a Limo service that is cheaper than a taxi or should I just grab a taxi from the airport, I was going to hire a car for two days but thought that it is less of a hassle to taxis. I do not intend to leave waikiki accept to go on the last day to Ala Moana to shop. Please advise of options from the airport, your advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I think the taxi will be a bit cheaper. Generally I think limos are more expensive. There have been some recent posts about prices for both options.....if you care to search. Otherwise, someone may post some info for you soon.

I agree that a taxi will be cheaper than hiring a limo. I%26#39;ve read on previous posts that a taxi is between $25-$35 US.

You can also take an airport shuttle.

Cost is $9 one way or $15 round trip.

I would take a cab. It%26#39;ll cost but the convenience will be worth it. Check on ';charleystaxi.com/services'; Taxis are metered and the rate is set by the city. You might have to pay a little extra for any luggage that goes in the trunk.

onion63 .... taxi to the Diamond Head area is approx. $40.00 o/w depending on your arrival time. If you like I can refer you to someone that will do an arrival anywhere in Waikiki for $40.00 o/w. The driver will meet you at baggage claim, help with your luggage and take you to your destination in Waikiki.

Although, the taxi are regulated by meter, taxi from the airport will charge you extras for luggage and extra large bags/boxes.

When you decide to go to Ala Moana Shopping Center, taxi from deep Waikiki is approx. $15, but, you may take the #8 TheBUS (Ala Moana Shopping Center/Waikiki Hotels %26amp; Beaches) for $2.00 o/w, getting the bus Diamond Head side of the zoo (Kapiolani Park).
