Maui Hyatt about to be remodeled?

Someone recently reviewed the Hyatt in Maui and said the hotel is going to be remodeled soon. Has anyoene else heard this and does anyone know when it is going to happen?

I would just call them. They would pretty much have to be honest about that or not. I read some of the reviews and several people didn%26#39;t seem to be too thrilled with staying there. One person I noticed had done like us and stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, but said there was no comparison and left the one on Maui to go elsewhere. We actually stayed at the Mahana in Kaanapali on Maui and we actually sort of liked it better than the Grand Hyatt. It is not a resort like the Hyatt, but the views are to die for. All the condos are oceanfront and literally just a few feet from the ocean and all have floor to ceiling windows with gorgeous views of the islands of Molokai and Lanai. We were on the 7th floor above the palm trees so it had the feel of an oceanliner. Anyway you could check out the other reviews and photos on it if you%26#39;re at all interested. They did not have their own restaurant though, but you could go to a couple of resorts next door down the same little street and have it added to your bill at the Mahana. They explain all that when you check in. It%26#39;s also a very short drive to Lahaina. So if the Hyatt doesn%26#39;t work out for you maybe the Mahana might be a possibilty.
