Oahu Location Recommendations

Hi there, I%26#39;m looking for location recommendations on Oahu for a family vacation, probably staying in a beach front or very close to beach condo. Not really looking at Waikiki I%26#39;m really interested in other locations. I%26#39;m mostly interested in something quiet to mid quiet with a nice beach and pool but I%26#39;m mostly looking for area recommendations at this time.

Oahu Location Recommendations

You may try greatrentals.com or vrbo another possible is alternativehawaii.com. There are some condos in Haleiwa not sure about a pool though and Turtle Bay both of these are on the northside of Oahu about an hour or so from the airport.

Try Turtle Bay Condos. These properties are on 2 golf courses, but you can walk to the beach at Turtle Bay hotel (5-10 minute walk). Or you can drive a short distance to the North Shore beaches for some variety. The best beaches are Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach, however, there are many others. These condos are a little over an hour from the airport, but it is a quiet area, in the summer at least, and much different from Waikiki, which is a city on the beach. If you%26#39;re looking for peace and quiet in a comfortable location, this is a great way to go. There are also 4-5 pools in the complex, so one is guaranteed to be close to your unit.

My family and I stayed at this vacation rental a couple of years ago. We really liked it here because it was quiet and we got to mingle with locals instead of a bunch of tourists like us.

For vacation rentals I would also check out Hawaii Kai, Diamond Head, Kailua/Lanikai, and Sunset Beach area (North Shore).
